Rules for Dieting

1. If you eat something and no-one sees it, it has no calories

2. If you drink a diet Coke with a Mars bar, the calories in the Mars are cancelled out by the diet Coke

3. When you eat with someone else, calories don't count if they eat more than you do

4. Cinema related foods, such as wine gums, popcorn, mints, and chocolate, do not have additional calories because they are part of the whole entertainment package

5. Things licked off spoons and knives have no calories if you're in the process of preparing something

6. Foods that are the same colour have the same number of calories: ie, spinach and pistachio ice-cream, mushrooms and white chocolate. NB: Chocolate is a universal colour and can be substituted for any other food colouring

7. Small foods have no calories, such as chocolate buttons or chopped nuts dipped in chocolate

8. The same rule applies to foods that are wrapped up, such as toffee sweets or slices of cheesecake
